Public Build Status
Current public build: a narrative-first campaign slice with character description as primary DM context, generated long-form openings, freeform player intent, hidden rolls, local saves, module management, and a prose-wrapped combat flashpoint.
Character creation captures both the mechanical sheet and the person the DM should remember
Play defaults to a long-form narrative panel and freeform intent bubble
Rolls, checks, blood anomalies, and state changes resolve beneath the surface
Narrative scene engine with an offline narrator fallback and optional live AI GM endpoint
Combat flashpoints remain prose-first and collapse back into the story
Person-First Creation
The public route asks for both a rules sheet and a remembered character description before the first scene is narrated.
Story Plus Intent
During play, the interface collapses to the Dungeon Master's prose and a freeform intent bubble.
Prose-Wrapped Flashpoints
Combat pressure still resolves through the rules engine, but the player sees consequence, danger, and motion rather than the machinery.
Build Notes
Foundation Notes
The public play route launches the synced static campaign foundation build served under /games/chronicles-of-the-fallen-realm/.
That static build continues to use /api/ai-gm/turn so narration can stay server-side and fall back offline when provider keys are absent.
Dev scene-lab reference work remains available at /projects/chronicles-of-the-fallen-realm/dev/scene-lab, and archived prototype content remains available at /projects/chronicles-of-the-fallen-realm/legacy/prototype; both continue to use /api/chronicles/dm.
